Blessed William Howard students are again celebrating excellent A–level results.

We are also proud to report that over three quarters of Blessed William Howard students have secured a university place or an apprenticeship, this figure is significantly higher than the national average, further testament to the high aspirations and hard work of our students.
Mr. Karl Brown, Principal, said:
"Blessed William Howard students have once again achieved remarkable success, securing places at leading universities through their high aspirations, resilience and dedication. Students, parents and teachers should be very proud of these excellent, well-deserved grades. I extend my warmest congratulations to all students for their individual achievements, and my deepest thanks to the staff whose commitment, guidance and hard work have enabled our students to flourish and fulfil their potential."

SYNAGOGUE TRIP - At the end of the summer term a group of Y9 students enjoyed their tour of the Jewish Synagogue at Singers Hill in Birmingham today. We had a wonderful guided tour with a practicing Jew from the community, Geoff. He shared his faith with us, showed us artefacts and told us about the impact the building has on the community of Jews in Birmingham. A really fascinating and enlightening trip that we all thoroughly enjoyed.

POLITICS SUMMER SCHOOL - Three BWH Students took part in the opportunity of a lifetime: to have an exclusive Q&A with Chancellor Rachel Reeves in Downing Street, as well as a private Q&A with Mr Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle, as part of Stafford MP Leigh Ingham’s 2026 Politics Summer School.

Our students received glowing feedback and represented the school proudly. Thank you to Leigh Ingham MP for these amazing opportunities for Stafford students.

The highlight of the week was a visit to Westminster. As well as meeting the Chancellor and Mr Speaker, the students met transport minister Simon Lightwood, Member of the House of Lords Baron Marvin Rees, and Staffordshire Moorlands MP Karen Bradley, before watching a debate in the House of Commons.

The rest of the week was spent developing social action and campaigning skills at Stafford College, and included inspiring talks from Charlotte Almond, CEO of Staffordshire Women’s Aid and local journalist Kerry Ashdown.
The students’ campaign ideas focussed on mental health services for young people, a youth centre in Stafford, better careers advice, and improving education on domestic violence.

Leigh Ingham, MP for Stafford, Eccleshall, and the villages, said: “Summer School is one of my favourite weeks of the year. These are passionate and inspiring young people who are keen to use their voices for good.
