Starting the 4 Myers Briggs personality groups are the Analysts:
They all consist of N (Intuitive’s) and T (Thinkers) who focus on possibilities and the big picture, easily see patterns, tend to make decisions using logical analysis and value honesty, consistency and fairness.
Ns are often seen as the drivers of creativity and enjoy change, however don’t always probe the details of how to achieve that change.
Ts enjoy being able to identify risk and critique situations to ensure solutions are available however they don’t always consider the impact on individuals.
Have you taken the Myers Briggs personality test?
Which personality type do you think you are?
We can provide the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment with a comprehensive feedback session.

Our Founder, Clare Barnett, is at the GSA Conference in Manchester this week.
On Monday she listened to General Sir Roly Walker, talk about leadership in the British Army. Within that talk he discussed his four thoughts on how to succeed in Leadership:
1. Find your Purpose
2. If in doubt go BOLD, there is honour in risking everything and learning from Failure
3. Success takes Self Discipline
4. Humanity is more important than Intelligence.
Many of our leadership and coaching gurus talk about the importance of Purpose, Direction, Commitment and Emotional Intelligence.
Which one of these four areas do you think you need to focus on more? Please share your thoughts on what you do and how you do it….

Setting up for Success - how a positive mental attitude can help you achieve a successful week:
Olympic athlete Colin Jackson talks about the importance of having a winning mindset and passion for what you want to achieve.
Research proves his point, numerous studies show that positive energisers produce substantially higher levels of engagement with their team, lower staff turnover, and enhanced feelings of well-being among employees. ( Harvard Business Review April 2022)
How can you choose your mind set when you start the week tomorrow?
If we Focus on what we want to achieve during this week, and how we want to feel by the end of Friday, can we bring a positive approach to these goals and objectives to break them down into bite size chunks and achieve each of them.

We have been covering the team’s Learning Objectives, how we learn as adults and how our Values shape our approach to work and learning.
The training content for this course is written in line with the ILM curriculum.

This week’s is Kim Scott’s book Radical Candour.
Kim Scott has provided a way of giving meaningful and constructive feedback that develops individuals in a positive manner. Most people struggle giving feedback because they are afraid of being hurtful towards others but it is more damaging to not give any feedback at all.
Kim Scott has a fairly simple approach:
- Ask how they feel they are doing,
- What they are doing well at,
- Ask how they think they can develop,
- and set scaling questions (‘On a scale of 1-5…’)
She also writes about the importance of praise where people are doing well and being specific and objective about where to improve. Encourage the development of new skills and allow people the time to think through the feedback before discussing it.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to improve their communication skills in any way, not just professionally!
