Exciting news! The deadline to apply for our Staffordshire Engineering Academy has been extended to Friday 21st January.
So if you know a Year 11 student in the Staffordshire region who wants the chance to think and act like an engineer, this is for them.
Over three years, students (ages 15 to 18) learn engineering skills and prepare for further education. With over 80 hours per year outside of school, the Academy includes a series of immersive design challenges, career coaching, and education workshops to equip young people with the skills they need to build an engineering career.

Calling all parents that have children in Year 11, living within 90 minutes of Staffordshire. Students can now apply for a place on the Engineering Academy Programme.
The three-year course encourages young people to pursue a career in engineering, with those who go on to further education, for engineering degrees or apprenticeships, awarded £7,000 in financial support.

General Electric (GE) has announced a five-year, $3.5 million investment in Staffordshire to launch Next Engineers, a global programme focused on increasing the diversity of young people in engineering.
Staffordshire has been selected as one of four global locations. The aim is to inspire more than 3,500 local students, aged 13-18, provide them with first-hand experience of engineering, and award financial support, so they can pursue further education in engineering.
