Come to Ranton Diamond Wood on the Norbury Park Estate for a Family Fun Day!
Help us celebrate the 5th anniversary of planting over 60,000 trees, which was part of the Jubilee Project in 2012, with the help of local schools and families in the year Her Majesty, the Queen, celebrated her Diamond Jubilee.
A day full of outdoor activities

Woodland Birds of Prey Show

Help us celebrate the 5th anniversary since The Woodland Trust Jubilee Woods Project in 2012. Schools and families came in their hundreds to plant 60,000 tree in the year Her Majesty, the Queen, celebrated her Diamond Jubilee.
A day full of outdoor activities for all the family. From Woodland crafts, climbing trees with ropes, wildlife walks and woodland Birds of Prey to name a few!

More than 300,000 new trees were planted at Norbury Park and Ranton Abbey, and the project is now finished.There will be 140 hectares of new woodland
This is an old article but very informative.
Norbury Park Estate has spearheaded the private venture. But because it delivers public benefits the Forestry Commission has backed the planting with grants totalling nearly £500,000 under the English Woodland Grant Scheme.
