This week, we marked the closure of Chase Grammar Prep School. It was a moment filled with emotion, reflection, and gratitude.
We’d like to share a few moving words from Mrs Medley, who has dedicated 17 years to the Prep School:
“After 17 wonderful years at Chase Grammar, I have locked the door for the last time. I’ve truly loved every moment - working with such dedicated colleagues, teaching incredible children, and building strong relationships with supportive parents. It’s been more than just a job; it’s been a family.
While I’m very sad to be leaving, I’m also optimistic and excited about the new chapter ahead at my new school. Thank you to everyone who made my time at Chase Grammar so special - you’ll always have a place in my heart.”

A Fond Farewell to Chase Grammar Prep School ❤️
Yesterday’s Prize Giving was filled with pride, joy, and a few emotional moments. Our incredible pupils were recognised for their hard work, dedication, and achievements throughout the school year, and we couldn’t be prouder. 🌟
This week marks the closing of a very special chapter in our school’s story - we say goodbye to our Prep School. It’s never easy to part with a place so full of history, heart, and care. Since 1879, the school has been a nurturing home where young minds have been encouraged to grow, explore, and shine.
Though the Prep School is closing, its legacy will live on, in every smile, every lesson, and every cherished memory held by those who’ve been part of its journey.
To all our pupils, families, and dedicated staff - past and present - THANK YOU. Thank you for being part of our story, for the laughter, the learning, the support, and the shared belief in what this community stood for.
Chase Grammar Prep School may be closing its doors, but it will forever remain in our hearts. ❤️

Our budding scientists in the Prep School had a blast this week launching their very own water bottle rockets! 🚀 Using air pressure, water, and a dash of curiosity, pupils explored the science of propulsion and forces in action.
There were squeals of excitement, some seriously impressive flights, and plenty of learning through laughter.

Some of our talented Year 5 students have been getting creative, helping to design and paint the theatre scenery for next year’s School Musical Production: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! 🍫🎶
From golden tickets to chocolate rivers, the magic is already beginning to take shape thanks to their fantastic imagination and teamwork. We can't wait to see it all come to life on stage!

Our curious young explorers had a fantastic time in the garden discovering some fascinating minibeasts - from wriggly worms and curious centipedes to tiny snails hiding under the soil. With magnifying pots and lots of excitement, they learned all about the tiny creatures that call our school grounds home.
Outdoor learning at Chase Grammar inspires curiosity, wonder, and a love for nature. 🌼🐛

During our warm up for our Performing Arts lesson today, Y3s and Y4s used their initiative, problem solving skills and communication to try to fit as many pupils as possible into the 1m2 box marked on the floor.

During their Art lesson, Dawood and Luka learned about Marc Quinn and how he made sculptures out of bread, so they did the same. They also had their bread toasted to show various shades of colour.

Dawood loved explaining Eid al-Fitr to his class before Friday evening's celebration begins! He did a great job of sharing his experiences with us.

After planning an end of year celebration in a previous lesson, Luka was challenged to design an invitation. He looked at some examples before creating a design in his book and he completed his design on the computer. He did a great job!
