Verbal reasoning is one of the harder parts of the 11+ for students to grasp as it is very new for many of them. It’s a great feeling for both the student and myself when they have understood it and score full marks on the practice test 😁😁

It’s that time of year again!! New school year so new classes, a new school for some and for others a new adventure of home-schooling or continuing the home-ed route. No matter where and how you learn it is an exciting time but also a bit scary too! Do your best, as I am sure you all will, and most of all enjoy your learning!! (Or is that taking it a step too far? 😂)

I’ve been away for 10 days in the Greek sunshine enjoying the rewards of my lovely job.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been working on solidifying multiplication knowledge with my key stage 2 students. They’ve been enjoying filling in multiplication tables and using times tables wheels to challenge themselves. My new multipurpose dice is popular too - maths questions, English prompts etc.. One student even used his fish to help him learn 😁😁
