As I am still in Greece (for a few more hours - as I am delayed at the airport!) I have heard this greeting many times today.
The first day of each month, the locals will be greeting just about every single person they know and meet : โฮฮฑฮปฯ ฮผฮฎฮฝฮฑโ (Kalo Mina), which literally means โgood monthโ. It is the Greek way of wishing their friends, family and kins a good month ahead of them, their way of wishing you well.
Kalo Mina to you all and I wish you all a lovely July ๐๐
Kalimera! I hope you are all well ๐
Been having an amazing first week away. Itโs so lovely to be catching up with old friends. We visited the Petralona Caves yesterday; the last time I went I was 12 - so they are really ancient now ๐๐
Also been making friends with some of the stray cats and dogs around here (I want them all!) and even managed a little surprise (early) birthday party for my daughterโs 21st and Dadโs 80th ๐๐
Hello everyone. This is my view for the next couple of weeks after what has been my busiest year yet. Now for a break to recharge the batteries before Iโm back to organise my next school year.
I promise i will be thinking of you all ๐๐๐
As itโs coming to that lovely time of year when we can finally relax and unwind and for the lucky ones get away on a holiday I thought Iโd share this.

One of our young pups is eager to try and show you how you do this, using one of our life-sized collection boxes (Though they may need a bit of help being so small ๐) - we'd love to hear how you'd caption this photo ๐

Lovely end to a busy busy week with some ducky art therapy ๐๐ quack quack ๐ฅ๐ฅ
So who was lucky enough to see the Northern Lights last night? Iโve dreamt of seeing them for years but every time there has been a chance sighting itโs been cloudy or wet. Was worth the wait though. We went up to Cannock Chase to see them more clearly and I even managed to get them with the Plough too
Someone is sabotaging my art lessons ๐
Itโs that horribly stressful time of year for students in exam years. It all seemed so far away and now suddenly it is upon us!
Itโs easy to say โdonโt stressโ and โyouโve got this!โ And even the most prepared and confident students will feeling some level of anxiety going into an exam hall. I used to - and still do- hate exams and dreaded having to do them.
All you can do though is your best; that is all anyone wants of you.
Below is a link to the Mind website with is brilliant for young people. They have a whole part dedicated to combatting stress and anxiety over exams with a variety of techniques for students to try.
Good luck to everyone starting there exams this week # # #

As itโs getting closer to GCSE time Iโm sure thereโs a lot of students studying hard and practising exam style essays. Sometimes itโs not always necessary to write out your answers in full. Planning is just as important too - and planning in your actual exam do es help to improve your grades.
Hereโs some planning which I was doing with a student this morning for โAn Inspector Callsโ.
Happy Easter to you all! I hope the Easter bunny has paid a visit ๐๐๐
