So in my previous post you can see a picture of italian food. Can you name some of the items in italian?
1- i biscotti (the cookies/biscuits)
2- il riso (the rice)
3- il sale (the salt)
4-la pasta
5-due pizze ( plural of pizza)
6- una bottiglia di vino

is there any item I did not mention and you want to know the name of?

By the way, in this picture below you can see: ‘le fette biscottate’! How would you translate this in English?

Ciao everyone! After many years of pandemic related isolation, I would love to start new italian classes for beginners: in person and in St Neots.

Group lessons allow students to learn and at the same time to socialise and have some fun, (not to mention affordable costs).

I have done many classes over the years both in St Neots and Bedford, and I am sure that some of my ex-students would not mind to provide their feedback, if needed.

Did you know that…

‘the’ is a type of ‘determiner’? In English, ‘the’ can be used to refer to both female and male nouns, for example:

‘the sister’ or ‘the brother’

However, in Italian, ‘the’ is:

‘la’ for a female noun
‘il’ for a male noun

So we would say:

‘La sorella (sister)’
‘il fratello’ (brother)

Stop pronouncing it wrong! ch in italian is pronounced as a ‘k’ or ‘hard c’.Say: ‘ brus k etta’!☺️
