Year 6 Residential Update

What an incredible trip weโ€™ve had! Yesterday, the children enjoyed river tubing, tested their aim with archery in front of the castle in glorious sunshine, worked brilliantly together on the low ropes course, and even had a go on the rifle range in the castle basement.

Last nightโ€™s disco was the perfect way to celebrate a fantastic week, and this morning has been filled with the usual packing chaos!

The children have had the best time, made lots of wonderful memories, and are now looking forward to coming home and sharing all their adventures with you.

Our ETA back at school is 15:15 but please check Facebook for an updated time, which we will share at about 13:00.

Year 6 residential update

Another busy day on residential! Everyone ended up taking a dunk in the lake during kayaking, the children had plenty of disagreements during bushcraft, and there was lots of laughter as everyone compared (and teased each other about) their campfires. Tiring, chaotic, and full of great memories!

Year 6 residential update

Yesterday was another fantastic day on our Year 6 residential!
The children enjoyed a range of activities, including volleyball, fencing, the Manor Olympics, and a hike into town.
During the trip into town, everyone had the opportunity to spend some of their pocket money on ice creams, candy floss, sweets, and a visit to the arcade. There were lots of smiles, albeit with blue lips and teeth, and plenty of excitement throughout the day.
We had a good downpour prior to evening activities and it seemed fitting to experience rain in the Peak District. Today it's canoeing and bush craft.

Year 6 residential update
The children have settled into their rooms and have had a fantastic start to the trip. They thoroughly enjoyed their first activities, which included the zip wire, archery, and fencing.
Dinner was a big hit, with everyone impressed by the range of options available. A few even elected to visit the salad bar!
This evening, the children gathered around the campfire for a fun-filled session of songs and entertainment, including some wonderful performances from the children themselves. The evening activity ended with a walk through the woods, prior to children turning in for their first night.
Everyone is looking forward to another action-packed day today which includes a walk into Matlock where they can spend their money on as much sugar as they can face. Daytime activities include volleyball, fencing and archery.
