This is a great summary of our work over the last eight years, with links to all our videos - thanks for this CVI Scotland - a fantastic team to work with.

Our simulation project CVI-SIM, developed with the University of St Andrews, comes in at number 6 in our top searched terms. Not surprisingly, it has been extremely well received, especially the many videos from the project. In the link below is a short explanation of the background to the project, why we created it, and what we are learning. There are also links to further information and all the CVI-SIM videos in the order they were made, including explanations of many elements of vision with CVI, for mainstream school and profoundly disabled children, and factors for teachers. Join Dr Andrew Blaikie and Helen St Clair Tracy from the University of St Andrews and CVI Scotland for a 90-minute session explaining the connection between cerebral palsy and cerebral visual impairment (CVI), how to identify it, and what can help. Research suggests that the majority of people with cerebral palsy are also likely to be affected by CVI, yet it often goes unrecognised. Learn what CVI is, why it matters, and how simple, cost-free support strategies can make a life-changing difference for people of all ages and abilities. If you have cerebral palsy, or support someone who does, understanding CVI is essential.

This webinar is free to attend and is suitable for parents and professionals.

Great to see our CVI-SIM resources in action at the Centre pour le Développement des Compétences Relatives à la Vue (CDV) in Luxembourg – delivered by one of the project leads, Dr Andrew Blaikie.

Proud to see the tools being used to support children with CVI in such a thoughtful, practical setting.

Fantastic to see CVI expert ophthalmologist and CVI Scotland advisor Dr Andrew Blaikie delivering training – including our CVI-SIM work – at the Centre pour le Développement des Compétences Relatives à la Vue (CDV) in Luxembourg City.

The CDV is a dedicated hub supporting children and adolescents with both ocular and cerebral visual impairments. Their commitment to empowering young people with tailored tools, support, and training is truly commendable.
