Hey Everyone! This is something that might be interesting to other people in this group. The DSN is opening up our mentoring scheme again to MENTEE sign ups again! Sign ups will be open until Tuesday 5th April, and students will be matched with another disabled student who's been in St. Andrews a bit longer.

Hello everyone! The mentoring scheme for Disabled students went really well last semester, and on that note, we're opening it up again for MENTEE sign ups right now! We had lots of lovely mentors last time, so we're just looking for a few more mentees to join.

Sign ups are open until 5pm on the 5th of April, and as always contact us here or on disabledstunet@ with any questions!

Today is the LAST DAY to apply to be a mentor for our mentoring scheme! Sign up to be matched with an incoming disabled student or someone new to accessing disability services and provide advice and support. Mentors will receive training to assist in supporting their mentees, and the DSN will run events for mentors and mentees to get together both in-person and online.

An opportunity that might interest some people on here: The DSN and CEED are putting together a buddy scheme for disabled students!

Hello lovely people! You may know that we've been working on creating a buddy scheme in line with the mentoring schemes offered for other groups. We've been working on this for a while, and we're excited to announce that we have sign ups!! For anyone who remembers an email in September-ish saying the scheme was coming soon - well, here it is!:)

For potential mentors, a little info about what we're looking for from you:

We are currently looking for volunteers to participate in our mentoring programme. Your experience and support can be hugely beneficial to other students.

You will need to be organised and passionate about supporting students. Being a mentor involves:

• Answering students' questions either over email or in person

• Offering support and guidance

• Sharing your own experience

As part of the matching process, we will be trying to match mentors and mentees with similar comfort levels for meeting indoors, outdoors, or online, and we'll be sharing ideas for online and outdoor meet-ups to make sure that everyone can do safe and fun things with their mentors and mentees!
