Research Lecture Series: Talk this Wednesday!

The School of Art History and the French Centre are thrilled to announce its final Spring Research Lecture Series, the French Visual Culture Lecture:

Title: The Making of Fragonard’s Swing. Some New Suggestions.

I am delighted to announce that we will be joined by Ruth Gooding, the Gallery Curator and Arts Development Mananger at the Thelma Hulbert Gallery. The talk will be followed by Q&A where you can ask as many questions as you like!

The talk will take place from 2-3pm as usual, on Wednesday 5th April.

This will be held in the Irvine Building, Seminar Room 310.

Careers Event this Tuesday:

We are delighted to advise that Clarendon Fine Art, the largest and fastest growing gallery group worldwide are joining us here at St. Andrew's in order to showcase employment opportunities available within the commercial art sector.

You will take an inside look into the life of an Art Dealer, the progression opportunities within the company, as well as viewing their extensive portfolio of international artists such as the Fine Art Masters, including Picasso, Chagall and Warhol, and the international contemporary artists such as Mr. Brainwash, the Connor Brothers and Christian Hook, just to name a few!

They will be giving top tips to make your application stand out when interviewing for positions as an Art Dealer and will round up the talk with a look at their available locations and Galleries. There will be time for any questions and discussion at the end, so please join them to learn more about the fabulous world of commercial art!
