Today Serena started learning some adding. Serena is showing interest in the magnetic numbers. She really enjoyed this simple but effective activity and is progressing well with maths.
Serena successfully learnt today that 1+1=2, 1+2=3 and 4+1=5. She was able to use her fingers and count how many fingers she had up. Great job Serena I’m so proud of you and your willingness to learn new things.

Today Malakai helped make some musical instruments with recycled objects from the families who generously donated. Malakai has shown interest in making some music with the instruments I have to offer. Today we used recycled bottles with rice bubbles inside of them and recycled formula tins to make maracas and drums.
Malakai really enjoyed making the instruments and then when he finished and started playing with the recycled maracas. He shook them up and down and really enjoyed the sound that was happening. Next up he played with the recycled drums first up he was using his hands to bang the drums and then found some old formula scoops and used them to bang the drums, showing initiative and his imagination.

Today the boys had so much fun playing in the shaving foam. Malakai wasn’t sure at first and took some time putting his hands in but once he did he squished his hands and enjoyed how it felt between his fingers. Xavier went for gold when the shaving foam was available. He absolutely loved the way it felt. ♥️♥️

Today Brysen focused on recognising numbers and counting. He was able to count fluently to 10 and was able to identify all the numbers. When he was finished with that activity he free played with the flash cards and was able to read colours, objects etc. Great job Brysen

Today Malakai was focusing on his fine motor skills. He was able to pinch the coins and successfully put the coin in the money box. He also had lots of fun exploring the sensory bottles, Poppits and trying to balance the animals onto the boat. ♥️♥️♥️

Today we started some school readiness for Brysen. He started off learning to hold the pencil and trace his name. He was very pleased with his efforts and is excited to continue to learn more. And off course Malakai couldn’t miss out so he enjoyed some drawing. He really loves drawing ♥️
