Kids club summer trip! To end the summer holidays we decided to go on a trip to sunny Skegness (except Skegness wasn’t very sunny! The rain definitely didn’t stop us).

We certainly made the best of the day, we started the day with lots of fun at Captain Kids, enjoyed lunch at Project Cafe, had a fantastic time on the boating lake (this was definitely a highlight for the children, made even better as the sunshine decided to make an appearance) ending the day with some rides at the fair.

We wanted to do so much more but time simply flew by so we will definitely have arrange to come back another time.

A big thank you to Captain Kids, The Boating Lake and to L.c. Builders for being great hosts and being very generous in ensuring our children had the best time. 💚

Rowena is very passionate about Makaton and knowing that she doesn’t really like to be on videos really demonstrates her commitment for supporting our children’s communication skills.

This time last week some of the children from the kids club took part in a sponsored sleep over. This has been on their bucket list for a while and they have been so excited in the lead up to this event.

The whole evening was full of fun, from toasting marshmallows, to treats and a movie and one of their favourite parts hide and seek in the dark on the field (at 11.00pm!!!).

Hide and seek was very competitive and for some this was overcoming their fear of the dark with the support of friends.

Bedtime became a challenge to see who could stay awake the longest! With many of the children wanting to do ‘an all nighter’ making it to midnight!

A big well done to our children for raising over £600 towards kids club funds and a big thank you to the Tree House ladies for providing the children with this wonderful experience. 💚

At The Tree House we are continuously working towards making our setting more Makaton friendly, ensuring all our children have the tools they need and support to be able to communicate effectively.

We would like to say a big well done to Rowena, Sarah H and Emily for all their hard work in achieving their Makaton level 4 💚

It is so lovely when people complete all the way to Level 4 - you are all fabulous! I hope you have enjoyed it, and thank you so much for coming to learn Makaton with me!

To all the lovely ladies at The Tree House, you have worked so hard over these last summer months, going above and beyond to ensure our children have the best opportunities and experiences making every day a great day!

During the holidays we welcome even more children to our setting, you have all given so much extra, working extra hours and days to ensure we can provide the best service to our children and families, making sure our children make those special summertime memories in a place that feels like their second home.

It does not go unnoticed and you are appreciated more than you know. As we now close the setting for a week, I hope you all take the week to rest, spend quality time with your own families and have some time for yourselves.

Our children were so excited to go on a donkey ride, each child was able to pick their very own special donkey to ride 💚

Yesterday we celebrated our children who are leaving to go to big school, with a very special trip to Sunny Skegness!

We had a jam packed day from splashing around at the Fairy Dell to donkey rides and so much more!

Project Cafe were perfect hosts, where we enjoyed a fabulous buffet lunch, before we were off again on our fun adventures.

The day ended with a ride on one of the special open top busses, before we hopped back on to our mini bus back to nursery.

It is a real pleasure to share these special moments with our children and celebrate each and every one of them ensuring they end their time at The Tree House with some extra special memories.

The children were full of excitement and joy from start to finish, chatting all the way home to each other about all the fun they had.

We would like to thank all of our parents for supporting our trips and special thanks to our practitioners for going above and beyond to make sure our children have these opportunities, we treasure these moments as much as the children 💚💚💚

Please see below for our next two weeks menu’s, for the weeks commencing 22nd and 29th of June 2026. We are in the process of reviewing our menu’s, we would love to hear your suggestions and any of your children’s favourite meals and snacks.

To ensure we are able to cater for all the children’s dietary needs please keep us informed of any changes to allergies and intolerance and any other needs including and changes to individual weaning plans.

Nursery photo reminder - Class Images will be at nursery on Friday 26th June 2026 to take the children’s individual and sibling group photographs, this will also include our annual school leavers photo too.

If your child is not in nursery on Friday and you would like them to have their photo taken you can pop in at anytime between 8.30am and 10.00am.

If your child is a school leaver this year and they are not in on Friday and you would like them to be included in the group photo please bring them to nursery for 10.00am.
