Year 4 had a fantastic day at the Life Science Centre in Newcastle on Tuesday. During the visit, they participated in an 'Electrifying Newcastle' workshop and had great fun building electrical circuits. The children also enjoyed exploring the centre's many interactive activities. Their behaviour was outstanding throughout the day, and they represented the school brilliantly. Well done, Year 4! 😊😊😊

Yesterday, Year 6 went to Beamish to further develop their understanding of the Victorian Era. The children took part in a Victorian lesson. They had to sit in rows with their arms crossed, they were not allowed to talk and had to write whilst listening to a story they were then quizzed about- not as easy as it sounds! The children also went down the mine to see what the miners had to do. It was a full packed day and the children were exemplary throughout- we even squeezed in a trip on the tram.
Well done Year 6. 😊😊😊

On Friday Year 2 took part in a webinar with children's author Rashmi Sirdeshpande. She taught us how to come up with characters and story lines. We had a lovely time inventing characters and plots.

Today the NSPCC came to Year 2 to tell us about Speak Out, Stay Safe. We learnt about which adults are safe to talk to and who can help us. We also learnt about Childline and learnt the number to call. 😊😊😊

We are delighted to be taking part in Cauliflower Christmas Cards once again this year! This is a lovely opportunity for the children to see their artwork turned into beautiful Christmas cards, gifts and more while also helping us to raise valuable funds for our school.

Over the next couple of weeks, your child will be bringing home their Christmas card artwork along with an order form. Once you receive this, you will be able to place your order online using your child’s unique code.

📌 Please remember: Your child’s original artwork must be returned to school after you have placed your order. We need to send the artwork off to the printers so that your orders can be processed as quickly as possible.

We have included a helpful video below showing you how to place your order online using your unique code.

Thank you, as always, for your support. We hope you enjoy seeing the children’s wonderful artwork turned into special Christmas cards! 🎅🎄
