Barry Smith School of Motoring

It’s been a while since I posted on here but due to circumstances I felt that I should. A few months ago I had my car bumped and the insurance decided it was too expensive to repair so they wrote it off. I decided that it wasn’t viable for me to buy another car to do the job so therefore through no fault of my own, I had to bring forward my retirement plans, which I never anticipated this happening.
I had then to pass on all my learners and all I had left were those in their own cars. So today I’ve done my final test which resulted in a pass.
I’d like to thank all the people who have recommended me over the years and all the learners who have supported me and stuck by me. I’ve had some great pupils and enjoyed loads of good times and laughs and I thank you all.
So today brings down the curtain on my 34 year career as a Driving Instructor as I have now retired and will no longer be trading.
I wish everyone a happy Christmas and I hope everyone has a great new year when it comes around.
So today I’d like to congratulate Lewis Rooney on passing as my final pupil to take a test.
I now look forward to getting my pension in February and playing loads of golf as well as sunning myself on a beach somewhere.

A well earned 1st time pass this morning with good comments from the examiner so congratulations are in order to Liam Anderson with only 2 driver faults. Well done.

After quite a wait finally getting the result so congratulations to Anthony Blair passing this afternoon and joining the 1st timers club. Bit of a tweak to the route but handled it no problem. Well done
