Another one completed, which makes two in one day as another 188 juniors have completed a 2k in their school grounds. This afternoon we visited Rosa Street Primary School where KS1 and KS2 did 7 laps around their yard and field to complete the whole 2 kilometres.
The children were great and did such a good job keeping track of their laps in what was quite a small area, but we all made it work.
A big thank you once again to our volunteers who gave up their time to make this event happen. This afternoon it was Julie, Phoebe, Dee, Debra and David.
A special shoutout to David (pictured here giving Top Gun a run for his money) who supported at an event last week and has been to every event so far this week, it has fallen well for him to support as he has taken time off as he is appearing in a show starting from tonight. Break a leg David, you’ll be great!
We also reached a milestone. With those 188 completed, we have now passed the 1,000 mark of juniors engaged in one week. We started last Tuesday, and in that time, have now had 1,054 different juniors take part in one of our mock events. And we still have 2 more events to go this week! We are now aiming towards the 1,500 mark before the end of the week.
