Following the fantastic response to today’s Rise and Shine Disco, we are delighted to let you know that it will now become a regular weekly event! 🥳💃
🎉 Starting from next week, we will be holding a Rise and Shine Disco every Friday morning at 8.35am on the school playground. 🎶
We would love for parents, carers and family members to join us for a few minutes of music, dancing and fun 💃🕺🎵 before the school day begins.
🌈 It’s a great way to start the day with smiles, energy and a positive atmosphere for everyone! 😊☀️✨

💛 WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY & ‘RISE & SHINE’ DISCO 💃🕺🌈

This Friday (9th October), we will be marking World Mental Health Day in school. 🧠💛

On this day, we would like children to ‘Wear yellow and say hello’ 💛👋. Please do not rush out to buy anything yellow specifically – it could be as simple as wearing a yellow bow in their hair 🎀 or wearing an item of clothing that has a hint of yellow on it 👕💛.

🎶 We will also be starting the day with a ‘Rise & Shine’ Disco! 🌞💃🕺

Join us on the school playground at 8.35am for some music, dancing and plenty of smiles! 🎵😄 We’d love you to come along and dance your Friday blues away! 💛🕺🌈

We can’t wait to see you there! 🎉✨

YEAR 2 LINCOLN CASTLE
Year 2 had a fantastic visit to Lincoln Castle this week to help build their knowledge for this terms history topic 'What is a Monarch?'. During their visit the children had the opportunity to walk the castle walls, become real life archers, try on armour, create a shield and take part in a banquet fit for a king and queen! They even got to meet three of the castles resident dragons! A great day was had by all!

STORYTELLER VISIT
On Tuesday, we were extremely excited to receive our third visit in a row from Mark who is a storyteller. He set up his big tent on the field and each class from year 2 - year 6 visited for a magical half an hour of stories. To start the day off, we all gathered in the hall to be told the wonderful, mythical tale of Tatterhood which we found out inspired the film Frozen! It was a great day and brilliant to see the children so engaged and so engrossed. Mark commented on the wonderful behaviour of the children too and we have already started talking about a date for next year!
