Today, we gathered at St Mary's Church for our special Year 6 Leavers' Service, taking time to reflect on the wonderful memories, achievements and friendships that have shaped our pupils' primary school journey.
It was an opportunity to celebrate all they have accomplished and to wish them every success as they move on to the next exciting chapter of their lives. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and the remarkable young people they have become.
A heartfelt thank you to St Mary's Church for hosting us and to our families, staff and community for their continued support throughout the years.
Year 6, we wish you courage, confidence and happiness as you begin your secondary school adventure. We know you will achieve great things! 🌟

In Art, Attenborough class have been learning that sculptors use different styles. We looked at 'Family Group' by Henry Moore and 'Walking Man' by Giacometti. We then created our own 'Walking Men' in the style of Giacometti using pipe cleaners and kitchen foil. Our people are very thin and tall, just like Giacometti's 'Walking Man'. We really enjoyed making our creations! 🚢🚢🚢

What an amazing day we all had on Wednesday for our Gala Dinner with Chef Darren. Everyone had an interesting day – learning a variety of skills from peeling to chopping to flavouring to cooking to serving. The class were all able to take part in small group tasks with Darren along with everyone creating rolls from dough which was lots of fun. However, the evening was the definite highlight – we had lead chefs, waiters and sommeliers too. The food was a delight and everyone went home happy and well fed. Thank you to everyone who joined us. πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³πŸ‘©β€πŸ³

Over the last few weeks, Attenborough class have been learning to sing 'Alice the Camel had Five Humps'. We are very good now at remembering the words and we know the melody very well, too. We are now learning to play C D E G on glockenspiels. It is not easy and we sometimes hit the wrong bar, but we have lots of fun in Music! 🎢🎢🎢

Luther King Class had a fantastic day at Gressenhall Workhouse this week. We got to experience first hand what life was like for Victorians, experiencing a wash day and exploring a cottage, where we got to taste some delicious drop scones. We also got a taste of what Victorian school was like. What a great day which has really helped to bring our History topic to life. 🏑

In our reading session today in Pankhurst class, we all thought back over all of the amazing, incredible books that we've studied and read this year. The children then worked in small groups, to create a short drama piece demonstrating their fantastic acting skills. We had scenes from: Windrush Child, Vote for Effy and the Nowhere Emporium. πŸ“šπŸ“šπŸ“š
