Katie's childcare Katie’s Childcare is a warm, nurturing home based nursery where children are supported to grow, explore, and develop with confidence.

We provide experiences designed to spark curiosity and support each child’s individual development. My name is Katie and I have been childminding alongside my mum Ann for 21 years now. We also have an apprentice with us, she is currently studying to achieve her Level 3 in childcare. I completed my level 3 in childcare in 1996 and then worked in various nurseries. I then decided to leave the large

hectic nurseries behind and open my own small childminding business so that I could spend quality time doing the job I love. Katie's Childcare offers care from 4 months. We also care for children in the school holidays. Katie's childcare opens at 07:30 and closes at 17:30. The fee is £4.20 per hour this includes healthy snacks mid morning and afternoon and all drinks. We provide a cooked lunch for £1.50, or you may bring in a packed lunch if you prefer. All children aged 3 years and over are entitled to 15 hours free childcare per week the term following their 3rd birthday. Working parents are entitled to 30 hours free per week (term time only) or 24 hrs per week for 47.5 weeks of the year. Funding is also available for 2 year olds should you meet certain criteria. We also accept childcare vouchers.

We are looking for an experienced, committed and enthusiastic Level 3 nursery practitioner to work with children age 2, 3 and 4years.
We are also seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 support practitioner to work closely with an individual child who requires additional support within our nursery setting.

The Doctors surgery is open tomorrow!

It’s our last few weeks of our Summer theme. We have pasta shells and a summer sensory table ready for the children to explore.

The dinosaur house has also been taken over by birds!

It’s our leavers celebration party on Saturday 1:30-3:00. The children that leave next year are also invited so that they can also celebrate their friends time here with us 🧑‍🎓

Just to remind you all please apply sun cream to your child in the mornings, we will then reapply it in the afternoons.
So please make sure that you provide some.
We will have lots of water play to keep cool so please make sure it’s water resistant.
On really hot days we will go outside first thing and make sure that we come in before it gets too hot. We will then stay indoors until late afternoon once it has cooled down a little.
