Well done girls 🏐

SENIOR NETBALL: Following gauging initial interest, we have entered our female Sixth Form students into a new Lincs Senior Netball League. After two lunchtime sessions, today the girls made the trip to Boston College for their first league fixture. For some girls, this was their first competitive netball match!

The team made a very strong start, ending the first half with an 11-13 lead. The experienced hosts came back impressively but SGS remained resilient to trade goals. Boston narrowly took the final result by a score of 26-22. The girls deserve full credit for their commitment to training and for their performance today, especially being the first time playing together. Player of the match went to Amiyah Bhatti and the whole team are already looking forward to future matches! Additional thanks go to Miss Rycroft-Jones & Ms Dearing for supporting the squad.

Sixth Form Open Evening

Thursday 12th November | 5.00pm – 8.00pm

Come and discover why so many students choose SGS Sixth Form.

Each year, increasing numbers of students from both SGS and schools across the region choose to continue their education with us. Our Open Evening is the perfect opportunity to see for yourself what makes SGS such a popular and successful destination for post-16 study.

Meet our staff and students, explore our facilities, and find out more about our wide range of A Level courses and enrichment opportunities. You will learn how we support students to progress to leading universities, degree apprenticeships and exciting career pathways.

What truly sets SGS apart is our students. They create a culture of ambition, kindness and collaboration, serving as role models, mentors and leaders within the school community, and as Head of Sixth Form I am incredibly proud of them. Above all, visitors will gain a real sense of what it means to be part of SGS Sixth Form: a friendly, high-achieving community where students are known, valued and encouraged to aim high.

Whether you already attend SGS or are considering joining us from another school, we invite you to come and see why our Sixth Form continues to attract so many students and remains such a successful and thriving place to study.

We look forward to welcoming you on 12th November.
