It can feel really tough at times – but remember, babies cry, and know that you can cope. We are supporting ICON week together with partners across Lincolnshire because every person needs to know that shaking a baby can result in abusive head trauma. It's ok to step away if your baby is safe and the crying feels too much.

I – Infant crying is normal and will stop
C – Comfort methods can sometimes soothe your baby
O – It’s OK to walk away for a few minutes if your baby is safe and the crying feels too much
N – Never shake or hurt a baby

We’ve been searching for autumn this morning!

We made our own binoculars so we could see far away and all things small! And then we searched high and low for any signs that autumn is on its way!

We talked about the colours changes and the leaves we found. We even saw a baby bird and was super kind making sure we whispered so we didn’t scare it.

💛 A little update from Smartie Pants 💛

Unfortunately, our manager is still off poorly, so our admin work may be running a little behind at the moment. We really appreciate your patience and understanding while we juggle everything.

Donna is currently stepping up as Deputy Manager and is doing an amazing job supporting our staff and, most importantly, our children. 🥰

Meanwhile, I’m squirrelling away in the office, answering emails, completing funding, sorting invoices and generally trying to keep everything ticking along — all alongside my own job! 😂

I’ll be in the setting all day Tuesday and Friday morning this week, so if you need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to pop in, email us or give us a ring. I’ll be more than happy to help wherever I can.

We’re doing our very best behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, so please bear with us while we get everything caught up.

Thank you so much for your patience, kindness and understanding. 🫶🏼

💛 A LITTLE UPDATE FOR OUR SMARTIE PANTS FAMILIES 💛

Firstly, a huge apology for the invoices being a little later than usual this month! 🙈

Our manager has been off sick, so I’ve been juggling answering emails, pulling up invoices, getting everything organised and making sure we’re ready for the start of term — all while covering things in her absence!

I’m hoping to have all invoices sent out by the end of today. If I don’t quite manage it, they will absolutely be finished tomorrow, so please don’t panic! 😊

Remember, we allow 7 days for payment, so this month’s invoices will be due by 7th September we do not expect them by tomorrow as per our usual policy due to our lateness.

🏦 NEW BANK DETAILS
Please make sure you read our Tapestry memo regarding our new bank details. The new details will also be included on your invoice email, so please make sure you update your records.

💷 TAX-FREE CHILDCARE
Our Tax-Free Childcare account is not currently set up due to our new Ofsted registration. I am aware of this and I’m working on getting it sorted as quickly as possible! Thank you for your patience while we get everything in place. 💛

📸 OUTSTANDING PHOTOS
I’m also hoping to have all of the outstanding photos back this week. Our photographer is on them! As soon as we receive them, we’ll get them sent out to you.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and continued support while we get everything organised behind the scenes. It’s been a busy one! 😅
