🌍 Making a Difference🌿

This week, members of our Earthshot Eco Committee headed out into the local community for another litter pick, doing their part to care for the environment and keep our neighbourhood looking its best ⭐

By collecting litter from streets and green spaces, students helped create a cleaner, safer environment for people and wildlife alike. It was a fantastic opportunity to show teamwork, community spirit and environmental responsibility, proving that even small actions can have a big impact when everyone gets involved 🌎💚

🔧🏭 Year 9 Manufacturing Day 🏭🔧

Our Year 9 students recently visited West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services in Brighouse as part of their annual Manufacturing Day experience.

The visit gave students a fantastic insight into the world of manufacturing, allowing them to explore industry careers, learn about modern manufacturing processes and see first-hand how local businesses operate.

Thank you to West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services for hosting our students and providing such an engaging and informative day.

From tackling orienteering challenges and team-building activities to hearing an inspiring performance and talk from Charlie Aky Music on bullying, peer pressure and healthy relationships, it was a day filled with learning, reflection and fun.

But don't just take our word for it... hear what our Year 7 students had to say about their favourite parts of the day! 👉

📖 National Poetry Day ✨

Today, we’re celebrating the power of words and creativity on National Poetry Day!

Earlier this year, our students had the fantastic opportunity to work with acclaimed poet Matt Abbott, who inspired them through engaging workshops and helped bring poetry to life in the classroom. We also hosted our very own Poetry By Heart competition, giving students the chance to showcase their confidence, creativity and performance skills through the spoken word.

From writing original verses to performing poetry with passion, it has been wonderful to see our students embrace the joy of language and self-expression. 🌟
