To celebrate the end of a fantastic year together, our wonderful Year 2 children enjoyed a well-deserved leaving treat!

🚒🔥 A huge thank you to Southwell Fire and Rescue Service for visiting our school today!

The children had a fantastic time learning all about fire safety, exploring the equipment on the fire engine, and even having a go at testing the hose!

It was a brilliant hands-on experience and we may just have discovered some budding firefighters among our pupils! 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒

Thank you for taking the time to inspire and educate our children. 🚒👏

What a lovely final Forest School session for Spire Class! 🌿

The children celebrated with a toasted marshmallow before completing their woodwork projects using hammers and nails to create their own wooden decorations. They also enjoyed the mud kitchen, hammocks, and plenty of outdoor play 🌳🪵

What a wonderful morning our children had!

A huge thank you to Marcus Farnsworth and Peter Siepmann from the for visiting Holy Trinity Church and sharing their beautiful music with us.

Marcus is an internationally recognised classical singer and the founder and Artistic Director of the Southwell Music Festival. He has performed with leading orchestras and opera companies across the UK and around the world, and he is also one of our children’s daddy, which made the morning even more special.

Peter is the Festival’s General Manager, Director of Music at Nottingham Cathedral, and Conductor of the Nottingham Bach Choir.

Both are incredibly talented and generous with their time.

We are also very grateful to Holy Trinity Church for kindly allowing us to use their church. The children loved the performance, and it was a wonderful opportunity for them to experience live music 🎶

🌿 Spire Class Forest School Session 🌿

Today, Spire Class had a great Forest School session! ☀️ The children enjoyed team games, gathering together in the log circle, and exploring new skills with the bow saw as they each created their own log cookie. 🪚

There was lots of creativity and imaginative play in the mud kitchen too! 🌈 A wonderful session full of teamwork, confidence, and outdoor learning. 🍃

☀️ This is how you do a disco in the heat! ☀️

Enjoy hot dogs, melon and sweet treats, have your face painted, play garden games, grab an ice lolly or two, cool off with a water fight… and then dance the afternoon away! 💦🍦🌭🍉🍬💃🕺

A huge thank you to our PTFA for organising such a wonderful event. The children had a fantastic time and made lots of happy summer memories.
