Yang Luchan was the founder of Yang style Tai Chi. In this workshop we will teach elements of the Yang Luchan Tai Chi form which was developed within the Chen village almost 200 years ago.
The original Yang form is very different to the standard Yang form, but considered essential knowledge for anyone who practises Tai Chi.
The form is very ‘sung’ (softness that penetrates deeply) and contains occasional ‘Fa Jin’ (explosive emitting energy) movements.
2.30-3.30 Sabre practise £10 extra
We will show some of the standard sabre drills which beginners can join in with alongside the instructors using spare wooden sabres.

There are easy to follow step by step videos to learn Tai Chi from the beginning, lots of advanced instructor level forms, and weapons forms.
We also have follow-along Yoga and Qi Gong videos, some of them nearly an hour long; perfect for when you can’t make it to class, or just to do a little extra!

We have several class closures coming up, mainly due to Bank Holiday season, but some others that are out of our hands due to cancellations by our hall providers.
We are open all through the school holidays but we close on Bank Holiday weekends to give our instructors a break when class numbers are reduced at these times.

we encourage all students to attend our workshops, even our lovely newbies! There is lots to learn, even from the beginning, and added insight improves your enjoyment at the classes.

You can learn from one of the most experienced Masters of the art and join his classes; either as a complete beginner who wants to enjoy the soft, flowing movements that are so good for your health and wellbeing, or as an experienced student of energy work or martial arts who is looking to expand their knowledge and training

URGENT
the Sunday morning classes are cancelled tomorrow!
Priory school are having electrical work done and something went wrong (don’t ask me I’m not an electrician 😬) and there is no power to the school.
They are bringing a generator down tomorrow and hope to restore working power, so Mondays classes should be on. They are ringing me in the morning and I’ll confirm on here.
Thursday 19th Feb classes have already been advertised as cancelled, that remains the same; it’s the date they set to test the electrical work.

You can learn Tai Chi by using short step by step videos, all of them offering a choice of a standard or ‘mirrored’ version, that you can slow down and rewind to your hearts content

There are videos to learn advanced forms, like Tai Chi stick and sword forms, and Wild Goose Qi Gong. We also have follow-along Yoga and Qi Gong videos, some of them nearly an hour long; perfect for when you can’t make it to class, or just to do a little extra!

All are welcome to this in depth workshop exploring the hidden refinements and applications within the Yang style Tai Chi long form. Taught by Sifu Andy Cullen of seven Stars Tai Chi.

This workshop is open to everyone; you may be an experienced practitioner, practise another style, or just have an interest in what Tai Chi is, and how it works. Please come along.
