We are a large, three Campus Special School for over 200 young people aged 2-19, all of whom have highly complex learning or medical needs. Mary Rose Academy is a community special academy and specialist Sports College for 166 pupils aged 2-19yrs which opened in September 2006, situated in inner city Portsmouth, Hampshire. We moved into new purpose built accommodation at the end of February 2007. Mary Rose Academy caters predominantly for pupils with severe and complex learning disabilities, in addition to their learning disabilities many pupils have additional needs associated with physical disabilities, autistic spectrum condition and complex medical needs. All pupils have an Education, Health & Care Plan and can join the school at any point in their career. Mary Rose Academy has been assessed as Outstanding in all areas during our last three Ofsted Inspections.
