The end of a busy week ❤️

Fledglings is now closed for the Half Term holidays and we look forward to seeing you when we reopen on Monday 1st June at 8.45am.

We hope you all have a lovely week enjoying the sunshine ☀️

We have a rare opportunity, that we have a few spaces left for September 2026. If you have any friends with children aged 2 years 9 months that may want to join our nurturing setting, then please get them to get in contact with us as soon as possible.

This weekend the Team have been in Dorset.

(Unfortunately Michelle was unable to join us this time).

Having a positive relationship with each other makes us a strong team for the children we teach.

This weekend we completed an army style obstacle course in the rain and rode quad bikes around a variety of muddy tracks. We supported and encouraged each other and had a lot of fun!

We also went for a walk in Bluebell fields, went swimming, ate ice cream and visited the ruins of a castle.

We hope you have all had a lovely bank holiday weekend 😀

On Friday 1st May, the Photographer 📸 will be here. If your child normally attends Friday morning then their photo will be taken during their session. If your child does not normally attend on a Friday morning, then they can be brought to the playground at 9am where a member of staff will take them into the room to have their photo taken.

Today we said goodbye to the ducklings🐣. We have enjoyed watching them hatch and grow over the past week 🐥 and learning about lifecycles.

The ducklings have gone to live on a farm and will be very well looked after 🚜.

In England, the 23rd of April is when we celebrate St George's Day.
St George is the patron saint of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.

It is believed that he was a soldier in the Roman army who died because he refused to give up his Christian faith.

Another legend tells the story of how St George saved a Princess 👸 and the Town of Silene from a terrible Dragon 🐉.

To celebrate 'National Tea Day' today, the children had a selection of teabags to explore and role-play with.

The children enjoyed making 'Tea', talking about what they could smell and telling us about family members who drink tea or coffee ☕️🫖
