Seavoice Training is no longer recognised as an RYA Training Centre, so we are unable to offer any RYA‑accredited courses. However, we can provide bespoke refresher coaching in Marine VHF Radio to help you regain confidence and practical skills. Our sessions use high‑quality ICOM marine radios and can be tailored to individuals, sailing clubs, dive clubs, and other organisations.

With over 20 years of experience in maritime radio communications — and as licensed radio amateurs ourselves — we’re well equipped to support your training needs. Please feel free to get in touch if you’d like to arrange a session.

Over the last 19 years I have run RYA VHF Radio course, in person and online, after considerable thought I have decided not to be recognised by the RYA, too many new centres chasing dwindling customers, I am always happy to give advice or to run bespoke training or refresher VHF Radio course just not RYA. Always check your volume and squelch every time you switch on the set.

Do you understand the squelch setting on your Icom VHF Radio?

If your squelch is set too high, you could be cutting out weak distress signals. If it's too low, the static noise can cut in and be an unwanted distraction.
