Premier Nursery Southport

Premier Nursery Southport "Qualty counts, where children count."

We recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children and we work closely in partnership to focus on the first five years of a child's life as these are important and informative. We cater for children aged 0 to 5 years , 3-4 year olds can access their 15 free hours and also 2 year funding is available.

The children have been learning about winter and how we can help the birds in their gardens by making fat balls. Fat balls are made from mixing together seeds, oats and fat to form a shape that can be hung in the trees in your garden to help the birds get food during the winter months. It was really messy work.
We hope the birds enjoy eating them as much as we did making them.

YUMMY YUMMY GINGERBREAD
We all love gingerbread men and especially at this time of year. The children had great fun making their own Gingerbread man and decorating it too.
I'M sure they were gobbled up very quickly.

Its beginning to look like Christmas.
The Winter Wonderland is ready for the children to play in . The children have been especially creative with our walls displays. They have designed their own individual snowmen, painted lovely patterned Baubles and created their interpretation of the nativity scene.

Ice Cream ,
It may not be the time of year for ice-cream but the children play this game regularly in the garden. So we decided to experiment and make our own ice-cream paint and also experiment making ice-cream for us to play with. We even made menus and an ice cream van. We had lots of fun and it was great seeing the children doing the experiments.
To make the ice-cream paint we used shaving foam, glue and natural flavourings and colours. We made ice-cream scoops using cotton wool and food colourings.
We even made some ice lolly sorting games too.

Toddler Room!
We have been having fun exploring our senses using shaving foam, we talked about the smell and how it felt in our hands. We used the foam to create tracks with toys and enjoyed getting messy!

Today we enjoyed making our own sandwiches to eat. We explored shape and size and carefully used the knife to spread the butter and cut our sandwich into small squares or triangles! We discussed healthy foods and why we eat them and chose what healthy vegetables we wanted on our sandwich! Yum Yum😁
