🇫🇷Bonne fête du travail! On the first of May it is "labor day". In France, it is customary to give little bundles of lily-of-the valley to friends and family members as a good luck token. So here is some "muguets" for you all today!Enjoy your bank holiday weekend!🇫🇷

Wishing everyone "Joyeuses Pâques". I hope all the little (and not so little) people found lots of "les œufs en chocolats". Miam Miam!
Did you know that in France it is not the Easter bunny that delivers the yummy treats but it is "les cloches" (the bells) flying back from tthe Vatican?
French children are given chocolate eggs, chocolate rabbits but also chocolate hens and chocolate bells and my favourite, small chocolate fishes that we call "friture". Miam Miam!

🇫🇷C'est le premier Avril! In France, children try to stick paper fish onto people's back while giving them a friendly pat without them noticing. Lot's of fun and when discovered, they shout "Poisson d'Avril!". 🐟🐟🐟
And to carry on with this tradition, look at the one that was put on my back by my child!
What pranks did you do today?🇫🇷🐟🐟🐟

Happy Mother's Day! At French Club the children decorated some beautiful paper flower bouquets and learnt how to say je t'aime to their Mamans this week! I hope the children were proud to give them out today and that you all enjoyed your special day.
Bonne fête des mères.

🇫🇷This week, some of my little learners practised this weather phrase: il y a du brouillard ( literally, there is some fog) 🌫. I enjoyed le brouillard and my little Saturday walk à la plage after avery busy week- Bon weekend. What are you all up too this weekend? 🇫🇷

Tomorrow, we celebrate "l'epiphanie" in France!
We share a yummy galette with friends, family, at work and at school. And it is not just for one day but during the whole of January!
A fève (little ceramic figure or a dried bean is hidden inside and , the person who finds it in their piece of cake wears a crown and is the king or the queen.
Do you fancy making your own and sharing this French tradition with us? It is super easy to make and so yummy!
Here is a link with the recipe for la galette des rois:
