Louise’s childminding

We have been busy at louise’s childminding again this week. The after schoolers have had a go at baking and making flapjack as part of their snack. They have also been making posters and being very creative. The younger ones have had visits to playgroups, soft play, autumn tuff tray activity and some pine cone painting. They have also been painting using our woodland stencils and getting very messy. We are now moving onto our Christmas preparations this week.

Louise’s childminding has one under 5 space available from Potentially the end of January. The days the space is available on is a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Please enquire within if you are looking for childcare.

I am a home from home setting offering a wide range of activities that are linked to the new early years foundation stage. I have a big outdoor/ garden space that backs onto the farmers field so we often have the sights of the farmer and tractors cutting, planting and ploughing the fields which the children love to see. My space indoors is open plan allowing the children lots of room to engage in activities. We do lots of outings outside the setting, regularly go to parks, beaches, farms, soft play, sealife centre, playgroups, library, story rhyme time and lots more, allowing the children lots of fresh air and physical exercise.

I have had my first full inspection in may this year which the setting got graded good, a report of it is officially published on the ofsted website.

Another busy week last week at louise’s childminding. Various playgroup visits, an outing to soft play. We had some art and crafts such as playing with scented and glitter moondough. We also practiced mark making with the aqua doddle.

We celebrated pudsey day by making pudsey hats, playing with yellow and white coloured coconut and Pom Pom balls. All the children decorated a pudsey biscuit. The little ones painted a pudsey and practised some counting using number pudsey and Pom p balls.

It’s been a while since posting what we have been up to at louise’s childminding, so thought it was time to show what the kiddies have been doing. Last week we did lots of poppy painting and pictures for Remembrance Day. The children got very messy using ted paint. We also did various outings to the sealife centre and playgroups.

Red Nose Day cupcakes and decorating a red nose, handprint Mother’s Day card, we also did the belchamps water egg hunt too which the kids really enjoyed. We decorated a clover for at Patrick’s day and practised grouping and counting with green teddy bears and played with green playdough.

We have been super busy over the first week of Easter and before celebrating Mother’s Day, Red Nose Day, st Patrick’s day. Been up to lots of crafts and enjoying the lovely sunshine with trips out to parks and doggy walking. Here are some of the crafts chick handprints, carrots footprints, Easter bunting, paper chain making, Easter card making and rice Krispy/ shredded wheat chocolate cakes.

This week we have been busy with Mother’s Day cards, and activities to our theme transport, playing with cars and trains, making tyre tracks in paint and playdough, going for walks, singing transport songs.

Been busy getting Easter resources together a few more bits to come, but lots to make and bake.

Louise’s childminding now has spaces that are available for under 5’s. I offer a, flexible, warm and friendly home to home setting, implementing various activities from the EYFS, both indoors and outdoors. We go out on regular walks, trips to the beaches, parks etc.

The spaces I have are on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. I offer full day care from 7.30 to 6.30.

I also have spaces for the Easter half term holiday club that I will be running which will be Easter themed activities, Easter egg hunts, Easter baking and exploring the outdoors. Again if you need childcare for the holiday please send me a message for more information.

Making hedgehogs out of playdough, bear masks, decorating snow letters and or practicing fine motor skills by putting pegs on the letters. Gloop play with ice cubes and artic animals and making a penguin Velcro mat where they can feed the penguin the fishies that they had painted.

Here is some more activities of what the children have been getting up to. Frozen water beads, the children used salt and warm water to dissolve them, watching them get small and having fun breaking the ice up. Biscuit decorating which is always a favourite. Polar bear house and writing in salt. We also made polar bear masks too as we looked at artic animals.

We have been busy at louise’s childminding since the start of the new year. We have welcomed a new member to the family our puppy jasper, who has settled in really well with the children.
