After a few weeks of home tutoring your Child will start to improve their levels of confidence and concentration in the classroom. These improvements should also be noted by your Child’s teacher during the next parent’s evening that you attend. Regardless of the School that he or she attends in the Southend or Basildon area. To make sure we are all heading in the right direction after every lesson I provide feedback on your Child’s progress. I will listen to any concerns that you may have and discuss ways I can help deal with any issues that may arise. I believe that any topic covered during the lesson needs to be reinforced with homework. Therefore, after each lesson suitable homework will be provided for your Child. All completed homework is then marked by me and then I go through the mistakes with your Child to help cover any gaps in their learning. Recommendations and Security Checks

I provide tuition in your own home, online or your Child can be taught at a neutral venue like Prittlewell library. All lessons are carried out on a one to one basis. Unlike most private maths tutors and English tutors, I am fully DBS Checked (this replaces the old CRB checks). I have taught hundreds of different students and can provide references from parents and teachers. Only a minimum of 24 hours’ notice (except in emergency situations) is needed to cancel a lesson. Catch up lessons are also offered so your Child doesn’t miss out. Teaching hours and areas I can travel that aren’t far from Southend:

Whilst I am mainly a Maths tutor and English tutor in the Southend area I can also travel to Basildon, Benfleet, Hadleigh, Leigh on Sea, Rayleigh, Thundersley, Hockley, Great Wakering, Rochford, Westcliff, Priittlewell, Southchurch, Thorpe Bay and Shoebury. If you don’t live in any of the towns listed there is still a chance I may be able to tutor your Child online, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss my availability. Lessons are Monday to Thursday (including all School holidays but not bank holidays). They start from 3.30pm and finish about 8pm. Day time lessons are available for homeschooling students.
