Having either enjoyed, or shown an interesting in, the Alleyn Court Former Pupils Golf Day in June this year, I am writing to you so you can get the date in your diaries for 2017.

It will be held again at Thorpe Hall Golf Club on Monday 5th June 2017.

We had a most enjoyable day in June this year and many thanks to all those who turned out and played. I think everyone agreed it was a tremendous day and we are hoping to build on the numbers in 2017.

It is open to anyone who was a former pupil at Alleyn Court, or who teaches or taught there, and the broad format of the day will be meeting at 9.00 - 9.30 for a coffee, teeing off in 3 balls from about 10.00 playing a stableford off full handicap, followed by a lunch and prize-giving.

So.............please put the date in your diaries; and please, also, either pass this on to other Old Alleyn Court pupils, or tell others about it who may be interested, and I look forward to hearing from them.

Former Pupil James Bourne's Busted will be performing at The Cliffs Pavilion in Southend on Monday February 6th 2017. We wish them well on their tour.

As we start a new school year, a warm welcome to Rupert Snow, Alleyn Court's new Headmaster. He has thoroughly enjoyed his first couple of weeks and the current AC community has given me a very warm welcome.

Many congratulations to Joe Hart who has been selected for the GB Basketball squad which will be competing at this summer's Eurobasket.

Senior House Athletics Finals will be on Friday July 8th at 4pm. Rankins, Tremaynes, Pearsons and Williams will be battling it out for the right to be crowned House Athletics Champions. As always, there will be races for former pupils too!!

Congratulations to Anthony Staples who we hear will be getting married in Italy on Saturday week - July 16th!
