We took a lovely morning trip to Priory Park today - we were on a hunt for conkers!
The weather was on and off with rain, but this didn't put us off! We made sure we were dressed appropriately and enjoyed the wonderful fresh air and surroundings ππ
We even had some time to visit the park and we had it all to ourselves.
Later on in the day, we gave the conkers a wash and decided to decorate them with paint and glitter β¨οΈ

Out and about rain or shine π¦
We spent the morning exploring, went home for some lunch and had a lovely sing song about colours. Then read a few books, including our book of the week 'Doing the Animal BOP' π

Playdough with natural resources we found at home and in the garden πΏπΊ
The children made lots of lovely patterns using flowers and the pine cones! Ideal for practising fine motor skills, being creative and using their imagination.
It's so easy to make at home to. The ingredients we used were:
βͺοΈ2 cups of flour
βͺοΈ1 cup of salt
βͺοΈ3 or 4 tables spoons of oil
βͺοΈ1 teaspoon of cream of tartar
βͺοΈ2 cups of boiling water
Mix it all together and add either food colouring or paint to make different colours!
You can also add different scented oils or spices from your cupboard to explore other senses!

Another lovely morning at Trust Links at centre place π
There were so many activities for the children to get involved in! We were creating our own shells, ice lollies, mermaids and colouring in. So many opportunities to use fine motor skills.
There was also sand and water play which the children always love. The children showed great teamwork while making sand castles and they even had their own water fight π

We love a Friday! Especially when the sun makes an appearance π
We took a trip down to Trust Links this morning. We explored the garden, sand pit and mud kitchen. It's wonderful watching the children's imagination.
We used our gross motor skills by climbing up the wall and trying to navigate on climbing back down safely.
We collected a few acorns and counted how many we found!
The children made some music using the wind chimes πΆ
There was also a lot of art and crafts inside to which my eldest loved!

What a wonderful Tuesday we have had ππ
We started the day by walking to our local library and chose some books to read at home. They had a lovely campfire set up with a basket containing different words and objects to help create your own story around the camp fire! Would love to try this at our setting π₯°
We also learnt about the colour code to organise the books. Once we had finished looking at a story, we found the correct colour and letter to make sure it is in the right place.
My eldest enjoyed reading books to the little ones!
This afternoon we popped along to the emergency services afternoon at Trust Links and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! There were many amazing activities inside and outside, such as; play dough, crafts, dress up, books, role play and a couple of water trays. There were also many volunteers from the emergency services to teach us how to be safe at home and when we are out and about.

Last week we went to the Peter Rabbit trail which we haven't been to in a little while. The weather was wonderful and there was a lot of shade on our walk to so we could stay cool.
We looked at the map at the beginning of our walk so we knew what route we had to take. We also discovered the beautiful garden they have created. Within the garden there was a fairy and dinosaur patch which the children loved exploring! It gave us some inspiration for the fairy garden we want to make at home π§ββοΈ

π we spent the morning at Maldon Promenade Park! π
We booked for the splash park, which the children loved and cooled them down. Afterwards, we had a picnic with all of our favourite food (a ladybird came to join us). Then we had a play in both the parks and went to see the ducks on the pond.
