💥🏅We were thrilled to receive a HIGHLY COMMENDED award at the BBC Essex awards at the Chelmsford Theatre yesterday afternoon!

While The Music Man Project UK Global Ambassadors were busy rehearsing for their Broadway show, the ceremony was attended by Music Man Project patron, Anna Firth and trustees Julie Cushion and Peter Shaw.

Congratulations to all the winners, especially Forget Me Not Dementia who won in our category!

Thank you Echo Essex for your wonderful newspaper spread about The Music Man Project UK national Summer School held at Leigh-on-Sea Salvation Army recently. We had a brilliant time together. Thanks to everyone who made it such a success.

Huge thanks to Lewis Lee Ice Cream Ltd incorporating Rossi's of London Ice Cream (of Benfleet!) for rescuing us today!

They stepped in at the last minute when our original ice-cream van failed to turn up!

A Music Man Project Summer School without an ice-cream van is unthinkable so we're so grateful to this excellent family-run business saving the day. We will definitely use you again!

A superb final day at The Music Man Project UK Summer School!

In the morning, we were treated to a fantastic performance by the fabulous Love2sign Signing Choir, complete with ribbons and YMCA!

In the afternoon, our long-time chorale collaborators, the fabulous Southend Vox, helped us warm up our vocal chords by teaching us some singing exercises. They then presented a joyous selection of songs which had us dancing and singing along... especially Mr Blue Sky!

We all enjoyed a delicious ice cream from the ice cream van before teaching our guests some songs from our new musical "Glissandia and the Royal Music Man Project".

A fabulous day capping off a fabulous 3-day Summer School. Thank you to all who attended and to Leigh-on-Sea Salvation Army for hosting us once again!

Thanks to our photographers who captured these magical moments. More photos here https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjD2Msa
