It’s been a while!
Hello 👋🏻

I’m considering opening up a couple of late afternoon/ early evening online sessions, possibly small group rather than 1:1.

Would any of you be interested?
Please DM me if you are.

Some of you may be applying for your first ‘proper’ job- or may be parents/ carers of those who are.

This offers some really helpful advice for writing a CV, including essentially what to include when you have limited or no previous work experience.

See how to write your first CV when you are a student with no qualifications or experience. Try it now with our step by step guide!

If you’ve had your results and are now considering your options as to what comes next, this may be helpful.

Do also use local searches and don’t forget that your colleges will have links and useful local apprenticeship information too.

A level results have been received and many people are excitedly prepping for Uni. If it didn’t quite work out that way for you but you did want to go to Uni, please look at the Clearing systems universities offer. My old Uni for example:

Clearing is open. Discover the courses available through Clearing at Surrey and call our hotline for support with your application.

I am sending all my love and condolences to the family & friends of the little girl who died tragically in one of our local parks yesterday. Rest in peace little one.

I’m also praying for the recovery of the other terribly injured child, and all other children affected.

A terrible, tragic accident that should not have happened.

As many of my past students will know, I talk about DAFOREST and SHAMPOO techniques when looking at literary analysis/ descriptive writing. In most cases, the one they struggle to understand is the OXYMORON.

This wonderful post might help!

Oops!

Quick edit to my recent summer holiday maths sessions advert…

Fractions sessions are categorically NOT 1030- 1130 PM! They’re 1030- 1130 AM.

I’d like to blame AI or a Facebook algorithm or something similar. I’d like to but I can’t because this was just good old fashioned human error 🙂
