Happy 160th Birthday to Beatrix Potter!! What an inspirational writer & illustrator she was & still is! How amazing it would be to follow in her footsteps & leave such a legacy for my children 💕- ah a girl can dream!
I painted this Flopsy Bunny on a “Welcome to the World” Cake a few years ago when I was still making cakes - it was carrot cake of course! 🥕🐰

Back to teaching airbrushing onto cakes (briefly)! I had a great day yesterday teaching the lovely Angie my mermaid cake class - the class is jam packed with techniques but Angie faced all challenges head on 💪🏼 I was so happy to finally meet Angie as she had originally booked the class before Christmas but due to health problems & ending up in hospital the night before the class we had to reschedule - so this class has been a long time coming & so great to see Angie looking so well! Her airbrushing was amazing & I can’t wait to see what cakes she produces with her new airbrushing skills & confidence 🥰 I worked her hard - but the results speak for themselves! So yesterday me & the gang had a beach photoshoot! 😂 I had some weird looks from people - but it’s for a Uni project. Loved painting these little guys though & they are going to a good home!

Work in progress - I’ve been busy with Uni work so haven’t posted in a while - sorry! I’m still getting to grips with the digital side - there is quite a lot of swearing, daily! So it’s good to be ending the term doing some hand painting! All will be revealed soon 🥰

Happy Bank Holiday! Seagulls will always freak me out since being attacked by a seagull in Hove when I was drinking a glass of wine! 😱 that’s just rude!
