Prince Avenue Academy and Nursery

Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic visit from Hands On Science for a Circulation and Heart Dissection Workshop this week.
The children learned all about the heart and circulatory system, including how the heart works, how blood travels around the body, and the importance of keeping our hearts healthy through exercise and a balanced lifestyle.

Yesterday, 55 pupils from Prince Avenue proudly represented the school in the Borough Sports Division 2 competition. After weeks of dedicated practice, the children demonstrated fantastic effort and skill, finishing an impressive 6th overall. This result secures their place in Division 2 for another year, alongside an excellent 3rd place in the field events.
The team’s determination and spirit were evident throughout the morning. It was wonderful to see pupils supporting and encouraging one another, showing resilience when things didn’t go to plan, and celebrating each other’s successes.
Well done to everyone who took part—whether competing on the track, performing in the field, or cheering from the sidelines.
