Though we won't be there to help keep your little ones entertained anymore, I thought I'd give a few suggestions on things to do!
Firstly, give these 3 pages a follow. Southend & Surrounding Parents - Friendship & Support & the group Southend (and surrounding) Parents - Friendship & Support (run by me, Emily), Southend Parent Directory (run by Chloe) and Mum's guide to Southend (run by Jade). All 3 pages give lots of useful suggestions on things to do with children.
As well as the suggestion I've listed, The Victoria Shopping Centre often have various activities going on for little ones. So keep an eye out on their page.
Let's not forget all the free things we can do too. We have an abundance of beautiful parks around us, including Priory and Southchuch. The libraries are open for families to enjoy. Most will have a dedicated child friendly area. The beach is always a win with little people!
We've got lots of lovely cafes around to enjoy too! indirock_ Coffee Shop and Utopia Coffee both have play areas. So that you can enjoy your coffee while your little ones play!
Make sure you also check out church pages as they will often host weekly playgroups for free or a small donation (usually £2.00)

The Victoria Shopping Centre were great. They were very welcoming to us. All the staff, management, the cleaners and security were all fantastic. The girls particularly loved one of the ladies that kept the shopping centre clean! So thank you to Dennis, Nicola and everyone else who works in the Shopping Centre.
Thank you to Sarah, the Chapel in the Victoria who came to chat with me each week. She was always very kind and supportive of anything going on.
Jamison Mills offered us lots of advice and support right from the start. Russell was particularly helpful. He offered us a professional and friendly service. It was a pleasure working with him.
All our family and friends who helped to move everything in to the unit at the start, and then again helping to move everything else out at the end.
IndiRock who supplied me with an endless amount of hot chocolate and cake while I worked as well as offering our customers a discount to their coffee shop.
Thank you to Chloe from Daisy First Aid who helped me to get my Level 3 First Aid completed as well as teaching a First Aid session with us.
And finally, my lovely husband who helped with just about everything. Making sure the books were done at the end of each month. Ferrying things to and from the unit on a regular basis. Allowing me to use our own personal money to buy things for the playgroup and just about everything else!

As some of you already know, we have made the decision to permanently shut Little Adventurers. We officially handed back the keys today.
For those that don't know, here's why (I'll keep it short). Daisy was struggling to be there all the time, so we reduced the hours that we attended. However, this meant that we could not make the money we needed to pay the rent as well as all the other bills.
We could have upped our prices for Stay & Play, however the point was that we were there as an affordable activity for children and families to enjoy. So we didn't want to burden you guys with that.
We very much enjoyed our time and getting to know you all. We met some lovely people and adorable children, who definitely won't be forgotten anytime soon.
We welcomed lots of other activity providers to Little Adventurers, as well as being the venue for many parties and childminding groups.
Stay turned for more posts to come!

See you all next week!
Please take note of our different opening hours next week. We have a fair few appointments for both myself and Daisy at the Lighthouse, so we will be working on reduced hours to fit around these
