It’s probably one of the things we hear most from parents before they come to Baby Explorers for the very first time.

Walking into a room full of people you’ve never met, with a tiny baby in your arms, can feel quite daunting.

But something lovely happens after those first few weeks.

The familiar faces become friends.

Someone smiles when you walk through the door.

Someone remembers your baby’s name.

Someone tells you they’ve had one of those nights too.

Before long, coffee after class becomes part of your week, WhatsApp chats become real conversations, and the babies begin growing up together.

Of course, Baby Explorers is full of sensory adventures, music, messy play, baby yoga, discovery and weekly themed experiences…

But if you asked many of our families what they treasure most, I think they’d tell you it’s the people they met along the way. 💛

Those first few months with a new baby can feel like such a little world of their own.

And if you’ve ever wondered whether your baby is too tiny to start a class, the answer might surprise you.

Our Mini Explorers classes are specially designed for babies from newborn to 6 months, offering a lovely first introduction to the Baby Explorers world.

At first, your baby might simply lie beside you, watching the lights, listening to the music and taking in all those new sounds, colours and textures.

Then, week by week, you begin to notice the changes.

Little eyes following something for longer.
Tiny hands beginning to reach.
Kicks and smiles.
Recognition of familiar songs and sounds.
And a growing curiosity about the world around them. ✨

But Mini Explorers isn’t only about your baby.

It’s somewhere to get out of the house together. Somewhere you’re welcomed each week. Somewhere to meet other parents who are navigating those same early months — and where some really lovely friendships can begin. 💛

For many of our families, Mini Explorers is simply the beginning of their Baby Explorers journey. As their babies grow, they graduate into our Baby Explorers classes and the adventures continue.

Some families begin their journey with us in Mini Explorers.

Others join a little later.

But every graduation reminds us just how quickly that first year flies by. 🥹

Then a card like this reminds us that, to a family, it can mean so much more.

Watching babies grow from tiny newborns into confident little explorers is something we’ll never take for granted, and seeing parents look back on that journey with such kindness means the world.

It’s never expected, but it always leaves us feeling incredibly grateful.

Reading words like “a real lifeline”, “the highlight of our week”, “friends for life” and “you’ve given me confidence as a first-time mum” is something none of us will ever take for granted.

Helen has become such a special part of so many families’ journeys. Reading these messages is a reminder that Baby Explorers has always been about so much more than the activities we plan each week.

Not just sensory play.

Not just baby development.

But friendships.

Confidence.

Support.

Community.

And memories that last long after the classes have finished.

Every Baby Explorers class starts long before the first little explorer arrives.

Behind every magical adventure are hours of planning, preparing, creating and setting up, and sometimes, a few extra helping hands too.

This week, Tracey had a very special helper by her side when her daughter joined us. They transformed the hall into our Under the Sea adventure. 🐠✨
