I really didn’t think I would be losing my job in July but unless we can raise enough funds then sadly this lovely preschool will be closed 😢

📢🆘🚨📣 SAVE WOODLAND OWLS!!! 📣🚨🆘📢

We are Woodland Owls Butlocks, since 2012. We operate out of Hound Parish Hall, in Butlocks Heath near Netley.

Our preschool is a mixture of nature nursery outdoor schooling combined with a traditional preschool family feel, which provides young children with a very unique Early Years experience to help them prepare for school as a confident learner.

The effects of the current pandemic have had a huge impact, not only for the children and staff but for the preschool itself. The effects of Covid-19 looks like it could close our preschool doors permanently unless we can do something now to stop it. Which means our current and future generation of children will not have the chance to explore the ancient woodlands, working alongside the woodland conservationists to help educate us all on how to look after our natural surroundings and connect with nature from an early age. We know that physical activity, calculated risk taking, all helps to develop a child's confidence, whilst developing their fine motor skills and nurturing their awe and wonder in all that surrounds them. All this could be torn from them!

The consultation phase closes on 20.06.20 and then the final decision is made.

All funds raised will be put towards keeping our preschool doors open for our children in Hound Parish, whether this be till the end of July 2020 or through the Autumn term and into Christmas. This is so that, as a team, we can continue sharing love, happiness and support children‘s learning and development, which in turn will enrich our community.

In advance we are so grateful for all the support we have currently had and future support coming from this page.

Dear Parents,

Hope you are all well and staying safe. I just wanted to email quickly to say that we are trying to organise some zoom meetings with the children's new teachers. Netley infants have been joining us for some of our welcome times already, but I want to extend this to the other schools the children are going to. Please can you let me know
