Private sound zones within cars to be trialled in EPSRC Doctoral Prize | Engineering | University of Southampton
Postgraduate research student Daniel Wallace will test sound zones for private in-car phone calls in a new Doctoral Prize Fellowship at the University of Southampton.

Another ISVR Three Minute Thesis (3MT) entry was Kerry Barker, who is working on developing hearing tests for police officers. This is to ensure that they are confident in communication in the field, particularly during high-alert situations.

We're delighted to share news that one of our flagship facilities, the Large Anechoic Chamber, is being renovated after a generous donation from John Gozzard. We look forward to welcoming all of you to see the updated facilities once they've been completed.
A generous half-a-million pound gift to the University - from the estate of inventor and engineer John Gozzard - will allow the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) to upgrade its world-leading anechoic chambers.
