Abby's Animal land themed tray to help support learning animals habitats and environments.

The Toddlers discussed the different textures of the resources and the colours of the water pots as well as using their hands to scoop the water animals.

Today Rachel has joined us as Deck Room Leader! Rachel has spent the morning getting to know the setting and all of our policies and procedures. Rachel is now busy getting to know all of your lovely children!

🦋 Welcome to Little Shipmates Caterpillars🦋

This week the babies within the Nest and Preschooler's in Deck Room had some new friends join them!

The children have been learning about their caterpillars during group time and taking a careful look with the practitioners.

This experience supports children’s understanding of life cycles and encourages them to learn how to care for living things. Through observing the changes each day, children will develop curiosity about the natural world, build early scientific thinking skills, extend their language and vocabulary, and learn patience, responsibility and empathy as they care for and watch the caterpillars transform into butterflies.

We can't wait to update you on their journey and share which friends Anchor room have joining them shortly....

💜 Welcome Back Lauren 💜

Today we welcome back our fantastic Lauren from her Maternity Leave.

You will find Lauren back in our Nest room, 8-5 Wednesday to Friday, term time!

Make sure you say Hi! Lauren is looking forward to meeting all of your lovely children.

Huge shoutout to our fantastic Colin, who oversee's all of our maintenance, for building this artificial climbing frame for our 0-2 year olds within the Nest!

The children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring this today!

Polite reminder that next Friday 19th June 9.30-11am we are holding our Father’s Day brunch! We would love for as many important male figures in your child's life to attend this event!

Anchor room have had a busy week exploring a range of activities!

🌱We have explored dragonflies, discussing how they move and where they live. Then, the children used a range of resources to decorate and create their own dragonflies! They used phrases like "I'm making it" and "I want a big one", and recognised that we need glue to be able to stick things down.🦟

🪸We have made a under the sea tuff tray this week! This sparked the children's interest with a variety of sea creatures, learning to say new animal names such as hammerhead shark and puffer fish, and learning what the do, such as why puffer fish puff!🐡

🖍️We extended the children's interest of vehicles and transported them to our creative area. The practitioner modelled how to draw a track, so the children attempted to create their own and they then used their vehicles to go across the track. This was such a lovely team effort!🚌
