Evee Cooper Music: Piano, Theory and Accompaniment Offering Piano and Music Theory lessons to adults and children age 6+ in Southampton. Also available I also accompany for grade exams.

I graduated from The University of Sheffield in 2013 with a Bachelor degree in Music, where I studied piano as my main instrument. With varied interests in the arts, my main aim is to inspire and encourage people to learn the piano, whether as a new venture or to rekindle an old interest. Therefore, while I follow the standard ABRSM syllabus in order to suit mile-stone learning, I am keen to encourage students to play music that they enjoy, so will tailor my lessons to suit each student in order to give them the best opportunity to gain an enthusiasm for the instrument and for music in general. Piano lessons are £16.50 for 30 mins at my house in Bitterne. Available for ages 6+ I teach adults and children and have 6 years of teaching experience. I am generally available for exams in the daytime (mainly Southampton or Wi******er - morning til 2:30/3pm) and also happy to have one-off sessions with students to get them used to the piano accompaniment before their exams, and to practice the aural elements of the exam. Exams can be nerve-wracking and I'm quite good at encouraging silliness beforehand to relax the student and provide some light relief! Review from a mother after a Grade 6 flute exam: "Your lovely calm nature relaxed her and your beautiful playing helped her no end."

£16.50 for a 30 minute session at my house (included for exam accomp). Happy for parents to stay or go. Exam accompaniment costs vary per grade. Travel costs will be added on at 45p per mile. (Southampton - £3, Wi******er - £11.70) The costs cover my time on the exam day, a 30 minute rehearsal at my house prior to the day and the required preparation time. These costs are the same for recorded accompaniments for online exams, as instead of the live rehearsal I will need to record according to the student's solo performance, which takes extra preparation time.
