Please support our farm after a really sad event 😪

💔 We are heartbroken to share that the farm was broken into last night.

Every single animal enclosure on the farm was disturbed in some way. Locks were smashed off, fencing and woodwork were damaged, and every area was targeted.

The most devastating damage was to our Safe Wings Sanctuary, where our rescued and rehomed chickens live. During the break-in, six of our chickens were released. Tragically, they were later taken by a fox overnight. We found clear evidence of this when we arrived at the farm this morning.

While broken locks, fencing, and timber can all be repaired or replaced, the loss of innocent animals because of such senseless actions is something that cannot be undone.

This has come at an incredibly difficult time following the chicken losses we experienced just a few weeks ago. Our staff, volunteers, and corporate teams have been working so hard to improve the farm, repair enclosures, and create safe homes for our animals. To see so much of that hard work damaged, and to lose more animals, is truly heartbreaking.

If you live nearby and saw or heard anything suspicious last night, no matter how small it may seem, please get in touch with us. The police have been informed, and Crime Scene Investigators are working with us as part of their investigation.

Over the coming days, we will be launching a fundraiser to help cover the cost of repairs and to build stronger, more secure chicken housing for future rescue groups following both this incident and the recent fox attack. Any support, whether that's donating or simply sharing the fundraiser when it goes live, would mean the world to us.

The successful candidate will be an experienced early years professional who can support children and families within our community with compassion, sensitivity, and a strong focus on achieving the best outcomes for every child.

✅ Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
✅ A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
✅ The ability to respond confidently to the diverse needs of families

We’re looking for someone who truly embodies the Oasis ethos of inclusion, equality, healthy relationships, hope, and perseverance.

🕒 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀:
28 hours per week (working pattern to be discussed at interview)

- Strong knowledge of working in a preschool setting

- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Hi everyone,
With the Amber Weather Warning in place, please be assured we will be following the government guidance to make sure that the children & staff remain safe.

Please make sure the children bring in sun hats have sun cream applied before arriving, wear loose fitting clothes that cover their shoulders.

Please can you also bring in spare clothes in their bag as we will have lots of water play.

For the safety of your children, if they appear to be struggling in the heat we will contact you.
