As I was setting them up today, I couldn’t help thinking about the children I work with.

When a child is struggling with reading, progress isn’t always obvious straight away.

The small daily steps can be easy to miss.

A little more confidence.

One extra word recognised.

A book picked up without being asked.

Then suddenly, parents realise just how far their child has come.

Just like these caterpillars, growth is happening even when we can’t see it yet.
