Student and staff at Upper Shirley High love to learn and our values pervade all aspects of what we do and how we do it. We are currently deepening an additional value of independence so we are actively pursuing Thinking School status to help students develop resilience and stamina to be the best they can be. A special message for our new Year 7 students ahead of tomorrow πŸ’™

It’s completely normal to be feeling a mix of excitement and nerves tonight. Starting secondary school is a big milestone and lots of people will be feeling exactly the same way.

Tomorrow is the start of an exciting new chapter filled with opportunities, friendships and experiences. We can’t wait to welcome you and help you settle in.

Tonight, try to relax, get an early night and make sure you have a good breakfast in the morning so you’re ready for the day ahead.
