Biscuit Break time! 🍪

A huge thank you to all our pupil voice groups of 2026 — you have truly made a massive difference this year.

You’ve done a fantastic job:
• Raising important issues and gathering class views in our Issue of the Month
• Helping shape real changes across school — from the new fencing, Copse area, slope planting, and bird boxes around site
• Leading on road safety awareness and sharing key messages
• Championing your school houses with pride
• And raising money for our chosen charities
We are so proud of everything you have achieved.
A HUGE thank you to our amazing pupil voice groups of 2026 — you’ve been outstanding. 💚

Good afternoon St John’s families,

A reminder that our final day is tomorrow, and it is Break the Rules Day.

Lost property will also be out at the end of today and again tomorrow. Please have a good look through — any remaining items will be donated over the break. 💚

Year 2 in the spotlight… Year 2 have spent the week strengthening their measurement skills through practical time‑reading activities and writing imaginative narratives inspired by The Tale of the Toothbrush for their new teachers. They also explored Nepalese culture in DT, using spices to create their own spiced biscuits a brilliant mix of maths, storytelling and geography. Read more in this week’s jottings.

Year 3 in the spotlight… Year 3 have had a warm but productive week, balancing focused learning with time outdoors in the copse. They planned and drafted diary entries using fronted adverbials and rich noun phrases, explored formal multiplication methods, continued progressing with recorder rhythms, learnt to use loops in computing, and some of the class proudly represented the school at the district sports event. See jottings for the full write up.
