More unforgettable moments from South Africa! πΏπ¦
Our sports tour has continued to deliver incredible experiences both on and off the field.
Over the past few days, our hockey, netball and rugby teams have all been in action, taking on local opposition and picking up some impressive results. Away from the fixtures, pupils have explored South Africa's history with a visit to the Apartheid Museum, enjoyed an unforgettable safari and river cruise, spent time with pupils at a local school and rounded off the experience with a traditional South African braai.

What a fantastic few days at our annual Charities Summer Camp! βοΈ
Nineteen of our Sixth Form students spent three days last week alongside 19 young carers from schools across Hampshire, giving them the chance to enjoy a well-deserved break, make new friends and experience the great outdoors at Avon Tyrrell in the New Forest.
Throughout the year, our Sixth Formers have worked incredibly hard to fundraise for the camp through events including Battle of the Bands and the Year 7 Disco. Their efforts made a memorable week possible, filled with adventures such as visiting Longdown Farm, exploring Highcliffe Beach, barbecues, games at Moors Valley, a talent show and plenty of fun together.
A huge thank you to our Sixth Form volunteers, who represented the school with kindness and enthusiasm. You are a real credit to the school. This trip was in association with Southampton City Council.

Day 3 in South Africa! πΏπ¦βοΈ
Our sports tour is well underway, with more than 100 King Edward's pupils and staff enjoying the start to the trip.
After arriving safely in Johannesburg on Sunday evening, our girls' hockey team opened their tour with a win and a draw, while the rugby squad have been putting in the hard work on the training pitch ahead of their fixtures.
Today, our pupils stepped away from sport to visit the aha Lesedi Cultural Village, where they learnt about South Africa's rich tribal heritage and took part in traditional drumming and dancing.
We'll be sharing more updates from their trip this summer.

An evening filled with exceptional music, energy and unforgettable performances π·
Our annual Jazz Night last month once again transformed the Dobson Theatre, as talented musicians from across the school took to the stage alongside Saints Brass for a spectacular evening of live music.
From classic swing to contemporary jazz, every performance showcased the musical talent of our pupils. Congratulations to everyone who performed and thank you to our staff and guests for making it such a memorable night.
