☀️ HOT WEATHER UPDATE☀️

As a school, we receive regular weather updates and temperatures are forecast to be high on Thursday and Friday this week.

To help keep everyone safe and comfortable, please ensure your child:

- Brings a hat
- Applies and/or brings sunscreen
- Has sunglasses if possible
- Stays in shaded areas during break and lunchtime
- Brings a water bottle to stay well hydrated

Blazers are not required during this hot weather and hoodies are not permitted.

Thank you for your support in helping our students stay safe in the heat.

REFUGEE WEEK

This week is Refugee Week, there are some wonderful books available in the Library for students to borrow. The theme this year is 'Courage' and Quentin Blake has created some wonderful posters in support of this.

LIGHTING UP THE RAINBOW! 🏳️‍🌈🌈

Science Club continued their celebration of Pride Month by exploring the visible light spectrum! They split light into rainbows with prisms and explored the different colours that make up white light. Finally, they used rainbow glasses to show the colours in different types of light!

🌟 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT 🌟

We are incredibly proud to share some fantastic news about one of our students, Jessica in Year 8.

Jessica has successfully gained a place on the England Pom Team following recent trials – an outstanding accomplishment that truly reflects her dedication, talent and hard work. 🇬🇧✨

She will now represent England at upcoming selections in Norwich, before travelling to Italy to compete in the WFNBTA World Championships against teams from around the world. 🌍

READ WITH PRIDE 🏳️‍🌈

RPCC is reading Felix Ever After by - a moving and joyous story of a trans student finding his way, exploring his art and falling in love.

This book published by Faber Books is also part of the collection EmpathyLab.

BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

At RPCC, students have access to a wide range of enrichment including: after-school clubs, classes and fixtures that support both wellbeing and personal growth. 🏊‍♀️⚽🎭

Alongside this, students also have the chance to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award, developing key life skills, resilience and a sense of adventure. 🥾

We also have our brand new state-of-the-art gym, providing even more opportunities to stay active and thrive.
