On average today, someone aged 25 to 34 years should have 5 jobs, and from 35 to 44 have 3 jobs. It is now estimated that most people will have 12 jobs during their lives. I am in my 10th career.

By 40, the average person may have around 7-8 jobs today. While a mid-career crisis is real after 40, it may come with additional challenges, such as additional responsibilities (children, spouse, ageing parents or divorce) and the potential need for further education and training.

At 40, if you have had three careers, you are already late!
